MCS provides W-2 Community Service Job (CSJ) placement and tracking
for Policy Studies Inc., YWCA, and UMOS. A MCS CSJ placement provides
the job seeker with real world work experience and the opportunity for
employment at the work site. MCS case management staff ensures a good
fit for both work site and job seeker.
MCS in collaboration with partners PSI and MATC has implemented very
successful job training programs. The well publicized Tramont Project
was the result of this collaboration and currently has welding trainings
for Super Steel and Manard Steel. Participants are guaranteed employment
after completing training. MCS and PSI have also partnered to provide PSI
clients interviewing and employment wear. Housed at MCS, the Walk-In
Closet was designed by a retail store designer to resemble a retail
boutique and is staffed by a graduate of the National Retail Federation
training class.
PSI has also sponsored a Pre-Vocational computer lab at MCS for participants
seeking training but lacking specific skills for that industry. MCS has a
MATC computer lab for basic and remedial skills, GED / HSED, and career exploration.
