Course Description:
This is an open entry, open exit class offering literacy skills ranging from basic education through GED prep. Themes of family literacy, computer literacy, financial literacy, and library literacy are incorporated into the curriculum. Students are offered a variety of options for learning based on their individual needs and reasons for enrolling in the class.

Course Goals:
Students receive assistance to improve literacy skills, obtain their GED or HSED, or brush up on occupational skills in order to secure employment or transition to other occupational programs at institutions of higher learning. Critical thinking, communication, problem solving and other core abilities are practiced to empower the student to make strides in their educational, employment and personal goals.
